Hi there! I’m an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist, born and raised under the sunny skies of Arizona, where speech therapy isn't just my job—it’s my passion, my hobby, and, well, my way of life! You could say that helping people communicate and thrive is in my blood—literally. My grandmother was a speech therapist, and I was also inspired from a young age by watching my aunt use sign language with my cousin who has Down Syndrome. These experiences taught me that communication is about so much more than words; it's about connecting, expressing, and finding your voice, whatever that might look like.
Now, about the professional stuff: I’m a proud Sun Devil, having earned my degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Arizona State University, followed by a Master of Science in Clinical Speech-Language Pathology from Northern Arizona University. But I didn’t stop there—oh no! I’m a lifelong learner, and I’m all about staying ahead of the curve. That’s why I’m super proud to have received the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE), which recognizes my dedication to expanding my knowledge and skills (over 60 hours in a short amount of time). I’m also a bookworm at heart, often reading about airway, health, breathing, myofunctional therapy, and speech sounds, you know all the super fun stuff!
I’ve been fortunate enough to work in a variety of settings—from schools and preschools to early intervention programs, home health, hospitals, and private clinics. Today, I own and operate Breathe Eat Sleep Talk, a private practice where I get to combine all my favorite things: working with people of all ages, from adorable babies taking their first bites of food to adults managing TMJ dysfunction or sleep apnea.
What makes me stand out? Well, besides my extensive education, I’ve also undergone hands-on training and continuing education in myofunctional therapy, feeding therapy, and speech sound disorders. And here’s where it gets really interesting—I’m also trained in Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT). I absolutely love bodywork and have found that CFT is the perfect complement to myofunctional therapy, helping to release those pesky fascial restrictions and making sure your treatment is as effective as possible.
But wait, there’s more! Ha Ha! In addition, I’m also a certified birth doula, and I take on a few special birth clients each year. I have a particular passion for supporting Hypnobabies and Hypnobirthing clients, guiding them through a calm, empowering birthing experience.
At Breathe Eat Sleep Talk, we don’t just focus on one thing—we look at the whole person to create a treatment plan that’s as unique as you are. Whether you’re seeking help for speech issues, oral function concerns, or just want to explore holistic therapies, I’m here to help you be your BEST self. Let’s embark on this journey together, with a blend of science, research, compassion, and a little bit of fun!
